Little Picasso Jewellery
Little Picasso is one of our original collections, created back in 2006 when Morgan & French first began. Alongside FingerPrint Jewellery and Ten Tiny Toes, it was one of the three collections our business was built around.
The idea was wonderfully simple: take those funny, wobbly and completely unique drawings children create and turn them into something precious enough to keep forever.
Over 20 years later, we’re still turning little masterpieces into silver.
Our Little Picasso Jewellery is created from your child’s own drawing, doodle or handwriting, carefully recreated in sterling silver by our silversmiths. From a wonky drawing of Mummy or Daddy to a much-loved pet, their first attempt at writing their name or something only they could possibly explain, these are the little details you never want to forget.
Choosing the right drawing
Simple line drawings work best. Choose an A4 or smaller drawing with one clear subject, ideally drawn in pencil or felt pen on white paper.
Painted or heavily coloured-in pictures, thick lines, very scribbly crayon drawings and highly detailed artwork don’t reproduce as well in silver.
If their masterpiece includes Mummy, Daddy, the house, the sun, three trees and the dog, choose your favourite part rather than sending the whole scene. If you’re unsure whether a drawing will work, send it to us and we’ll happily take a look before you order.
Once you’ve chosen the artwork, we’ll miniaturise it, preserving the character of the original drawing and shaping the silver to complement their design.
