What is handprint and footprint jewellery?
Handprint and footprint jewellery reproduces a person's own print on a smaller scale, making it part of a necklace, charm, bracelet or pair of cufflinks. We work from prints taken on paper and adapt them to the design you choose.
A round or heart pendant holds the print within its shape. Our Little Hand or Footprint Charm follows the outline of the print itself. On a Story Bead, footprints can travel around the silver.

A small keepsake became a collection
Ten Tiny Toes began with a footprint keepsake that Lisa Morgan made for a close friend. That personal beginning still feels right for this jewellery: someone you know, a print that is theirs, and something made to be worn.
Morgan & French began as FingerPrint Jewellery in 2006. Today, handprints and footprints sit alongside fingerprints, handwriting and personal messages in our collections.
A gift, a family keepsake, a print you treasure
A necklace for a new parent. Cufflinks for a grandparent. A bracelet you choose for yourself. The same kind of print can feel very different in the jewellery each person loves to wear.

Questions, answered simply
Is this made from my child's actual handprint or footprint?
Yes. We work from the prints you supply and reduce them to fit the jewellery. Your chosen design determines the shape, layout and amount of detail that can be shown.
Do I need the prints before ordering?
No. Choose your jewellery first and we will guide you through taking or supplying prints. For UK orders, we send your kit after you order. If you would prefer to take the prints before deciding on jewellery, the Ten Tiny Toes impression kit is available separately.
How do I take the prints?
For UK orders, the hand and footprint kit uses a special wipe and sensitised paper. Follow the supplied instructions, and get in touch if you need a hand. If you are outside the UK, ask us about the current arrangements. You can also read our print-taking guide.
Can you use a print from a baby book or a print I already have?
Send us a clear copy and we can advise. Keep the original safe. If the print is faint or incomplete, let us look at it before you choose your jewellery so we can explain what may be possible.
Can I send a photograph of a hand or foot?
A photograph of a hand or foot is different from a print taken on paper. Share what you have with us before ordering and we will explain the next step.
Can I include handprints and footprints together?
Some designs offer a combination of prints. Choose from the layouts shown with the jewellery, or ask us to help you find a design with enough space.
Can I include more than one child's prints?
Tell us how many prints you would like to include. We can talk you through the layouts and jewellery combinations, including designs with additional charms or beads.
Can I add a name or date?
Many designs offer lettering, with different limits for each design. The shaped Little Hand or Footprint Charm has space for a single initial on its reverse; other designs offer more room. Check the personalisation choices on the design you like before ordering.
What is the jewellery made from?
The range includes sterling silver necklaces, charms, bracelets and cufflinks, a leather bracelet with a silver Story Bead, and a gold vermeil necklace. Each design has its own materials and finish details alongside the ordering options.
Can several family members have jewellery from the same print?
We can use the same supplied print for more than one design. Choose designs to suit each person and let us know they will use the same print. If you are returning after an earlier order, get in touch so we can check whether we still have it.
Can I choose handprint or footprint jewellery in remembrance?
Yes. If you have a print you would like to use, we can talk through the designs with you. Keep irreplaceable originals safe and ask us how to share a copy.
