Made from a clear photograph of your dog's nose, the Gold Vermeil Eclipse Dog Nose Print Necklace holds the ridges and markings that are his or hers and nobody else's. One half of the pendant carries the print, the other a deeply imprinted heart. Warmer in tone, and still understated enough for every day.
The Eclipse is a round pendant split into two contrasting halves. Your dog's nose print sits on one side, reproduced from a photograph. The other stays smooth, marked only by a heart pressed deep into the surface. The design balances texture against plain metal, so the detail reads close up rather than from across a room.
For dogs who can no longer sit for an impression, a good photograph is often the only route left, and it is enough. A silversmith selects the clearest area of pattern from the image you send and makes each necklace by hand in our workshop. Up to ten characters can be engraved on the reverse: a name, a date, whatever suits.
No two noses are alike, so the finished pendant will be particular to your dog and no other.
What Happens After You Order
Taking Your Dog’s Nose Print: To create your personalised jewellery, we need a high-quality photo of your dog’s nose. Here’s how to ensure you capture the best image:
- Take the photo in natural light – this helps to highlight the intricate details of your dog's nose.
- Make sure the entire nose is visible and in focus. Avoid shadows or blurry areas, as we need a clear and detailed image to craft your unique piece.
- Use a high-resolution camera (your smartphone should work well as long as it's set to a high-quality setting).
Once you have the perfect shot, simply email it to us at studio@morganandfrench.com as a high-resolution JPEG. You can refer to the product images above to see the photo used for the product pictured.

Each Morgan & French piece is handcrafted to order with exceptional care. We begin creating your jewellery once we have received everything we need, from your personalisation details to any required materials.
We understand that some customers may wish to receive their order sooner, so we offer the option to bring your piece forward in your maker’s schedule. These choices affect when your jewellery is created, never the skill or attention devoted to it.
Priority 1 – Express Creation
When time matters, your piece is scheduled for immediate bench work with your maker, crafted ahead of their usual making order. This typically brings completion forward by around three to five days, giving you a noticeably earlier finish for special gifts, meaningful moments and occasions where you simply need your jewellery sooner.
This premium service adds a 40% uplift to the base price of your piece (excluding any optional add-ons), so you’re never charged extra for choosing to include additional details or elements. It is available on selected designs each day.
Standard Service – Made in Turn
Your jewellery is handcrafted with the same care and attention, created in the natural rhythm of your maker’s schedule once everything required is in place. The same skill, the same devotion - simply made in turn.
Care Guide
Gold vermeil, gold plated and black rhodium plated pieces have a thin coating of precious metal electroplated onto the surface of solid silver. Vermeil carries a thicker layer of gold than standard plating, so it wears well, but as this is still a surface finish it can wear away over time. Rubbing will of course wear away plated surfaces more quickly.
Some substances in our daily lives can affect plating and cause silver to tarnish prematurely, including soap, water, hairspray, chlorine, perfume, food, latex, perspiration, heat and the natural oils on our hands. You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming, as metals can react with shampoo, chemicals and chlorine.
Please do not use a silver jeweller's cloth or any polish on plated or vermeil pieces, as these are abrasive and will strip the plating. Wipe gently with a soft, dry, non-treated cloth instead, and store your pieces separately to avoid rubbing against other jewellery.
Never allow leather or cord to get wet. Wet leather and cord stay damp inside and deteriorate from within, which loosens the bond within the clasp and affects the strength and look of the material.
As with all jewellery, straps, links and clasps can be opened, damaged or broken if not treated with care. Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty or damaged. Your jewellery is fully guaranteed for 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials, although this does not cover accidental damage, misuse or wear and tear.
If you have a problem with the plating within 3 months of purchase we will re-plate your piece free of charge. After this time we are still happy to re-plate for you as a chargeable service, so please get in touch and we will let you know what is involved.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
