Story Beads

Story Beads are small sterling silver charms, each personalised to carry something specific: a fingerprint, a name, a line of handwriting, a date that matters. They're designed to thread onto one of our leather, nappa or paracord Story Bracelets, sitting together with the beads already there as a quiet record of the people and moments you want to keep close. The collection is where you come to add the next chapter, whether that's for yourself or as a considered gift for someone building a bracelet of their own.

There's a bead for most of the ways you might want to mark a moment. Fingerprint beads take an actual print from the person you love, and hand and footprint beads do the same for a new baby. Nose print beads do it for dogs, and there are heirloom versions of the print beads for those wanting something a little more substantial. Hand-stamped beads carry names, initials or short phrases in our silversmiths' own lettering. Own Handwriting beads reproduce someone's real writing in silver, loops and quirks intact. Chapter and Verse beads hold longer inscriptions, the kind of line you want to read in full rather than in shorthand, whether that's wedding vows, lyrics or a favourite quote. Ashes beads let you keep a person close in a way that feels gentle rather than heavy, and a small silver caduceus bead is there for anyone who needs a medical alert alongside the rest. Spinning rings in copper, silver or black silver sit between the beads as a styling accent, picking up colour and catching the light as the wrist moves.

Every bead is made to order in our Biggleswade workshop. Prints come to us by post on a simple kit, handwriting comes as a scan or photograph, and our silversmiths take it from there, working the detail into sterling silver one piece at a time. Once it arrives, the bead threads straight onto the bracelet you already wear, alongside whatever you've added before.
