Ordering for standard UK Christmas delivery
Our last posting day for Christmas by Royal Mail Tracked 48, our standard UK postage, is Friday 18 December 2026. Please check the expected despatch date on your product page and in your basket: an order despatched on or before this date is posted in time for Christmas by standard postage.
An order despatched on Monday 21 December 2026 needs Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Special Delivery, chosen at checkout. An order despatched on Tuesday 22 or Wednesday 23 December 2026 needs Special Delivery, and Wednesday 23 December 2026 is our last posting day before Christmas. Faster postage does not shorten the making time.
Our making times may increase as the studio gets busier. Ordering early gives us more time to make your piece and allows more time in the post. Posting by a recommended date does not guarantee arrival before Christmas.
Prints, ashes and other materials you send us
For jewellery made using prints, ashes, handwriting, drawings, recordings or an item you send us, making time starts when we receive what we need. Placing the order alone does not reserve a Christmas delivery date. Please allow time for any kit to reach you and for your materials to reach us.
The table gives our dates for materials to have arrived at the studio, allowing one working day to take them in. The making time shown on your product page determines which date applies, and each product page shows its own date.

If your date has passed, the kit can be the gift
For fingerprint, hand and footprint, dog nose impression and ashes jewellery, the kit can be the Christmas gift. Order by Tuesday 22 December 2026 and we will post the kit in time for Christmas, by Special Delivery at no extra charge from Friday 18 December 2026, and make your jewellery in the New Year once we have the print, impression or ashes.
For handwriting, drawing, recording and photo pieces, ring resizing, repairs and plating, if your date has passed please contact us before ordering for Christmas and we will check what is possible.
Priority Service
Priority Service brings your piece forward in your maker's schedule. Before Christmas, we offer it only on pieces it can still get to you in time, and each piece's page gives the dates and the postage to choose.

These are the last days we post by each service for Christmas, set from Royal Mail's recommended last posting dates (see Royal Mail's Christmas guidance). An order placed on a last posting day is not always made in time to post that day: the expected despatch date on the product page is the one to go by.
This guidance covers UK delivery. Please contact us before ordering a Christmas gift for delivery outside the UK.
Studio and shop holiday hours
The studio closes after Wednesday 23 December 2026 and reopens on Monday 4 January 2027. The despatch dates shown on product pages allow for the closure, and orders placed over Christmas are made from Monday 4 January 2027.
Our Stamford shop, The Little Workshop, is open as usual until Wednesday 23 December 2026: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30am to 4:30pm, closed at lunch. It closes from Thursday 24 December and reopens on Tuesday 5 January 2027. Its address and directions are on our Stamford shop page.
