The Heirloom Fingerprint Story Bead is crafted using a fingerprint that you provide, with the most distinctive whorled section carefully selected and deep engraved into silver. The print is repeated around the bead to preserve every ridge and detail, creating a piece with weight, clarity, and longevity. A polished gap is always left on the bead and can be engraved with an initial, finished on either a blackened or silver background.
Designed to be added to an existing Story Bracelet, or hung from a chain as a necklace, this bead allows your bracelet to grow as your story does. Made by hand by our silversmiths, it’s a deliberate, lasting addition - a piece intended to sit alongside others and hold its meaning for years to come.

If you request instructions for taking prints yourself, we will send you an inkpad and paper kit within one working day of placing your order. You can then send us back your fingerprints either by scanning them as a high-resolution JPEG and emailing them to us or sending them to us through the post using our prepaid envelope. Alternatively, if you want to take your prints yourself at home without a kit, you can use a soft pencil, clear Sellotape, and white paper, which allows us to receive your prints quicker. For those who prefer a professional touch, we offer an appointment service for taking fingerprints. This ensures high-quality prints with minimal hassle. Appointments are available at two locations with different availability times. After placing your order, you will receive an invite to book an appointment for professional fingerprint-taking. This option is ideal for ensuring precision and clarity, especially for important keepsakes. -

We understand that some customers may wish to receive their order sooner, so we offer the option to bring your piece forward in your maker’s schedule. These choices affect when your jewellery is created, never the skill or attention devoted to it.

When time matters, your piece is scheduled for immediate bench work with your maker, crafted ahead of their usual making order. This typically brings completion forward by around three to five days, giving you a noticeably earlier finish for special gifts, meaningful moments and occasions where you simply need your jewellery sooner.
This premium service adds a 40% uplift to the base price of your piece (excluding any optional add-ons), so you’re never charged extra for choosing to include additional details or elements. It is available on selected designs each day.

The Story Bracelet Collection
This piece is part of our Story Bracelet collection, a range of personalised leather, nappa and paracord bracelets built around Story Beads: small sterling silver charms each made to carry something specific to you.
A Story Bracelet begins with a strap and a personalised bead of your choosing. That might be a fingerprint, a hand or footprint, a dog's nose print, a hand-stamped name, a line of someone's handwriting, a longer inscription, or an ashes bead to keep a person close. Spinning rings in copper, silver or black silver sit between the beads as a styling accent.

Silver and other metals are prone to tarnishing due to natural oxidisation, and certain substances in our daily lives can speed up the process, such as soap, hairspray, perfume, and even natural oils on our hands.
To combat this, we are proud to offer an anti-tarnish service that you can easily add to your order. Our Rhodium Anti-Tarnish Plating Service ensures your cherished pieces retain their lustre and shine for as long as possible.
Please treat your jewellery with care, as straps, links, and clasps can be opened or broken if not handled properly. If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days. We fully guarantee our jewellery for 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials, though this does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or wear and tear.
