Product Description

Product Description

Molten sterling silver is poured by hand into a one-off sand mould, picking up the texture of the sand as it sets and cooling into a band that's slightly different from every other one we've ever made. The surface keeps the imprint of the sand, so the finish feels found rather than worked.

Each ring is poured and finished by Lisa Morgan in her Stamford workshop. The mould is broken after the pour, which is part of what makes the rings genuinely one of a kind — we couldn't make the same ring twice if we tried. Most are made to order, though we occasionally have one or two sizes ready from stock.

Please note: each ring is sand-cast by hand to your chosen size, so resizing isn't possible once it's made. Our Professional Ring Sizing service (below) can help, or visit us at our Stamford shop or Biggleswade studio if you're local.

Professional Ring Sizing

Professional Ring Sizing

Trying ring sizes on a finger using our professional ring gauge

Finding the right ring size can be trickier than people expect. Sizes vary slightly between jewellers, sizing tools and even ring styles, which is why we offer the same professional ring gauge system we use in the workshop.

Our reusable ring sizer lets you try different sizes at home, so we can size your ring correctly first time.

How it works

  • Order your professional ring sizer for £25
  • We'll send the most suitable sizer for your chosen design
  • Try different sizes at home in your own time
  • Let us know your chosen size
  • Return the sizer within 28 days of receiving it, using the included return packaging
  • We'll refund £20 once it's back with us in its original condition

Please note

For the most accurate result, try the sizer at different times of the day. Fingers naturally change size depending on temperature and activity.

If you're local, you're welcome to visit us and we'll size you in person at our Stamford shop or Biggleswade studio.

Priority Service

Priority Service

Each Morgan & French piece is handcrafted to order with exceptional care. We begin creating your jewellery once we have received everything we need, from your personalisation details to any required materials.

We understand that some customers may wish to receive their order sooner, so we offer the option to bring your piece forward in your maker’s schedule. These choices affect when your jewellery is created, never the skill or attention devoted to it.

Priority 1 – Express Creation

When time matters, your piece is scheduled for immediate bench work with your maker, crafted ahead of their usual making order. This typically brings completion forward by around three to five days, giving you a noticeably earlier finish for special gifts, meaningful moments and occasions where you simply need your jewellery sooner.

This premium service adds a 40% uplift to the base price of your piece (excluding any optional add-ons), so you’re never charged extra for choosing to include additional details or elements. It is available on selected designs each day.

Standard Service – Made in Turn

Your jewellery is handcrafted with the same care and attention, created in the natural rhythm of your maker’s schedule once everything required is in place. The same skill, the same devotion - simply made in turn.

Why Choose Sand Cast Jewellery?

Why Choose Sand Cast Jewellery?

Every sand-cast piece begins its journey as molten metal meets sand, creating beautifully textured surfaces, subtle details, and naturally distinctive markings. These features are intentional hallmarks of an authentic, handcrafted process, reflecting the skill and attention invested in every step. The photographs shown are a guide only - each finished piece will vary slightly in texture, markings, and character. Owning a sand-cast piece means choosing jewellery that is truly individual, with no two items ever identical, each carrying its own distinct presence and story.

Care Guide

Care Guide

We want your jewellery to look beautiful for years to come, which is why we recommend using a good quality jeweller's cloth regularly as part of your cleaning routine.

Silver and other metals are prone to tarnish. This oxidising process is a natural occurrence, but some substances in our daily lives will speed it up, such as soap, hairspray, perfume, food, latex, perspiration and even the natural oils on our hands. You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming, as metals can react with shampoo, chemicals and chlorine.

To combat this, we are proud to offer an anti-tarnish service that you can easily add to your order. Our Rhodium Anti-Tarnish Plating Service ensures your cherished pieces retain their lustre and shine for as long as possible.

As with all jewellery, straps, links and clasps can be opened, damaged or broken if not treated with care. Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty or damaged. Your jewellery is fully guaranteed for 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials, although this does not cover accidental damage, misuse or wear and tear.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
